In this world of technology, How did this happen ?
“ITS A CLEAR, NO BALL “ _ sheru
The match was very thrilling and there were many nail biting moments, which even led to a last ball 7 runs to win situation. Both team displayed a classic experience for the fans. All that went away when the umpire did not call last ball no ball by Lasith Malinga. It was not a very good impression for the fans allover India.
VIRAT KOHLI SAYS : “We are playing at IPL level, not club cricket,”. “That’s just a ridiculous call off the last ball. The umpires should have their eyes open, it was a no-ball by an inch. It [would have been] a completely different game altogether. So, if it’s a game of margins, I don’t know what’s happening. They should have been sharper and more careful out there.”
ROHIT SHARMA SAYS : “These kinds of mistakes are not good for the game. The over before that Jaspirt Bumrah bowled a ball which wasn’t a wide but it was called. You have to watch what is happening. As players, if we make mistakes we pay for it. Those crucial decisions can change the game. We prepare so much to win matches and those mistakes are not acceptable.”
The last ball which was very crucial and if it was called a no-ball the whole match might have been different, as its a fault from the organisers side there might be a justification for the same or some major change in the rules of future short game.
Major Cricketers and ICC tweeted :
For the Cricketers who took this much effort and the fans who came all the way to watch the match deserve better than this.
