A serious blow to India.
The news is confirmed, Shikhar Dhavan is out of 2019 ICC World cup with an injury of his thumb in last India’s match against Australia. We all remember that ball from Coulter-Nile which bruised his thumb finger and team physio rushed to ground to spray him. It was a serious one, we didn’t saw that coming.. right?
What can India do now ?
BCCI has officially never said anything, but it is obvious that India is confident team now with 2 back2back wins in the World Cup. Openers were the strong point of India in both the game as Rohit Sharma & Shikhar Dhawan both scored centuries in each game. Now India needs to find a new opening partnership.

Should India send a batsman from India?
Who it will be? Only Questions remain?
Rishabh Pant, Ambati Ryudu, & the list goes on and on. But till now there is no confirmation from BCCI about this. Apparently, he was out for 3 weeks which will include match against NewZeland & Pakistan. We really hope KL Rahul will be partnered with Rohit now for opening and Kedar Jadav will get a position up in batting order which can go either way.
Will India take a risk or wait for him to recover?
